
Crispy Chickpea Fritters
Crispy spicy chickpea fritters served with any dips you like! Wrap them with salad and salsa. Dip them in hummus or BBQ. Sauce them up and have as the main event. Sandwich them (ok... that's just a wrap with bread.. right?!) Picnic them. Breakfast them. Lunch and brunch them. Above all love them and eat them! Delicious for all the family and tried and tested by the Aly CJ Cooks Club community.
Ingredients
- 400 g can chickpeas drained reserve the liquid
- 8 tbsp chickpea flour
- 2 Tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch Salt and pepper
- 2 tsp mixed herbs
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 4 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tsp onion granules
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- Pinch chilli flakes
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- Juice and zest of 2 lemons
- 8 tsp chickpea liquid
- 2 really good handfuls of fresh herbs chopped
Instructions
- Mash chickpeas
- Mix dry ingredients together
- Mix ALL ingredients together
- Fry spoonfuls in a little oil
- Finish in a the oven 180C 10 mins
- Serve with your fav dips : I chose pea and lemon, yoghurt and mint, top secret tangy soup base dip!
